Player Points

In 2005, Badminton NZ introduces a player points system based on the IBF system.  Points will be awarded for all Badminton NZ Senior and Junior events as per the Tier schedule.  Points will be awarded in all 5 disciplines, with both players in doubles gaining points – not the pair.

Ø        A players top six results only to be counted in the overall points total for each discipline

Ø        Player points will be displayed for singles, doubles and mixed and will be available for use by Selectors and officials seeding subsequent events.

Ø        Points allocations as from 1 November of any year to 31 October of the following year.

Ø        Points Schedule:

Points will be awarded to the winners and all other losers depending on how far they progressed.  Points will be awarded regardless of numbers of entries.

Points awarded are base points multiplied by Tier Factor
