Changes:

March 2010:  Tier Levels changed

South Island Championships changed from Tier 8 to Tier 11

All Group B tournaments changed from Tier 7 to Tier 8

All Group C tournaments changed from Tier 4 to Tier 5

In 2005, Badminton NZ introduced a player points system based on the IBF system.  Points are awarded for all Badminton NZ Senior and Junior events as per the Tier schedule.  Points are awarded in all 5 disciplines, with both players in doubles gaining points – not the pair.

Ø        A player’s top four results only are counted in the overall points total for each discipline

Ø        Points for the previous 12 months are used when generating the points reports

Ø        Player points are displayed for singles, doubles and mixed and are available for use by officials seeding subsequent events.
