Suggested alternative:

Split into 2 x Divisions – so that new teams can join without having to compete against the top teams

2 x Divisions   (Div 1 will be max of 6 teams – auto relegation to Div 2)
                     ( Div 2 will grow – auto promotion to Div 1

For 2012 as there are only 10 teams overall

Have 2 x Divisions of 5 – playing 2 full rounds over 4 weekends  ( 8 ties each)
